Trotsky Vs. Stalin
Leon Trotsky and Josef Stalin are equal in power before Lenin's death. The two of them tumble into a power struggle. One of the main topics is a debate between "Guns or Butter", where Stalin wants heavy industry while Trotsky wants consumer goods. This struggle continues for 3 years until finally Stalin is successful. Stalin expels Trotsky from the Soviet Union so that there is no question who the leader is. Trotsky is later tried for treason and then hunted down in Mexico and assassinated in 1940 with an ice pick through the temple. Stalin is now the unquestionable leader, and things in the future look ruthless and unforgiving.
Summary
Stalin takes control of the Soviet Union and kills Trotsky.
