February/March Revolution of 1917
The February/March Revolution was the first of two revolutions during 1917. Centered on the Capital, then Petrograd. The reason for this revolution was due to numerous social and economic problems which resulted from World War 1. The result of the first revolution was the abdication of Tsar Nicholas II, and the end of both the Romanov dynasty, and the Russian Empire. What came of this abdication was a Provisional Government. A short time after, a second revolution would erupt from the Provisional Government's failure to fix the numerous social and economic problems.
Summary
The revolution was a failure in the end because the Government that came into power failed to do what the revolutionists wanted.
