Industrialization and The Five Year Plans
Stalin's industrialization was a key move for the future of the Soviet Union. Stalin created the 'Five Year Plan' so that the heavy industry output would increase and all industrial manufacturers would increase the amount of produce. The 'Five Year Plans' were based on a quota system. Economic planning became enforced, and targets were set for production. A main focus was heavy industry, such as coal and iron. Many party officials began revolting against Stalin's harsh ruling but every time they attempted a revolt he would have them shot or put up on Show Trials. When Stalin declared the Five Year Plans a success, heavy industry had increased 108% and their Five Year Plans' goals had been fulfilled to 93.7%.
Summary
Industry production was increased by a massive amount under Stalin's harsh ruling. The Soviet Union was now set up for a bright economical future.
