Treaty of Brest-Litovsk
The Treaty of Brest-Litovsk in 1918, was headed by Germany and marked the end World War 1 for Russia. The Bolsheviks had gotten what the people wanted, an exit from the war. The Bolsheviks also renounced claims on Finland, the future Baltic States, Belarus and, the Ukraine. Most of these territories came into German hands.
Summary
The Treaty ended the war for Russia, the Communist Nation could now begin rebuilding.
