Summary
_The Maginot Line, named after French Minister of War Andre Maginot.
It was a line of concrete fortifications that went along the French
borders of Italy and Germany. The French established the line in fear of
invasion from the East.
The Maginot Line was able to take most kinds of attacks, had great
living conditions for the troops, and comfortable living areas. What is most significant about the Line is the technology used; such as turrets that could move vertically out of the ground to fire, this kind of technology had never been seen before. The
downside to the Maginot Line was that it had a very costly upkeep which
led to the french armed forces to be underfunded.
